As a former lepidopterist, I think this very well could be a butterfly since the antennae aren't feathered. The thorax and abdomen look like they're from a moth. Do you live near a nuclear power plant or a place that makes insecticides? Or maybe the butterflies and moths are doing a little cross dressing.
Beautiful colors and excellent focus. That is vignetting, right? How could you hold Zippy and a flash light at the same time.
Hello Sandi....I do like the way you have presented the butterfly...The colour and detail of your subject is spot on....To help Pat,I think this butterfy is called A Red Admiral, mind you I might be wrong....A job well done.....All the best to you Sandi....................................Mick.
