Captured this morning at Lake Wawawsee. I woke up and saw the clouds, and thought to myself there might be a chance of a good sunrise, It rained while I was driving to this place, and I almost turned around, but hung in there and the rain stopped.

Used the sigma 17-70 for this one, and ran it through Dynamic Photo HDR, but the colors are pretty much what I saw with my eyes, just enhanced some.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

Love the water color look to this Sandi but I find the street lamp a bit distracting.

Hi, Sandi...

Ya got spunk and tenacity, young lady. A fascinating view of the early morning sun and the ominous rain cloud. Do you get tornadoes by you, because it looks like twister weather from here. I like the way you've used the negative space to highlight this amazing view.

Very nice silo with the sunrise in the back. I love the way the tree frames the image....but I'm not sure about the lamp post.

I go along with Bob on the centreing of the lamp post but I am still blown away by the beauty of this dawn scene.
These are superb 'colours of nature'

A striking sunrise, Sandi! The combination and variety of colors in the sky and the stark contrast between the light and dark areas of the photo are terrific. Beautiful shot!

A very pretty picture with a beautiful light and colors. But the only thing that bothers me in the picture Sandi, is a lighting pole, which is centered in the picture.
