A closely cropped capture of a Nuthatch getting ready to take off. I will post another version of this one another day, to show you why I cropped it so close, and I'll let you decide which you like the best.

Thanks for your comments.

I got off track with my numbers on my postings, so I should be back on track. :)

The colorful food in the feeder is as good as the bird. Great view of his back and the feather layering.

These guys always like to be upside down. They have a distinctive behavior too. Nice catch, Tigs. I see you fit two suet blocks in that one feeder. Have to try that.

Your shots of these birds are so clear and detailed that I can finally tell my daughter what the birds are that she's seeing in her yard!...lol...She's got so many since she lives in the country. This was one I saw and didn't know what it was. Gorgeous and outstanding Sandi!

You didn't crop it anywhere near tight enough. Nutty's beak is almost out of the picture :-). Try in from the right border all the way in just past the last wire before the tip of his tail, and down from the top to just barely above the feeder frame, eliminating the chains and everything above. It's still needs a bit more space in front of his beak, but it's fairly well balanced now.
Could whatever caused you to crop the left side so tight, not be cloned over?

Nice shot. The crop is not too bad. A little close on the feeder perhaps. Looking at the resolution you've got there i don't think you could go any tighter. Looks quite heavily sharpened too. Was that in camera or in post processing?
