While visiting the local garden's in town, I got to visit with the master gardener who I have enjoyed knowing over the last few years. Toshiko has a canon also, and had her canon 100mm macro lens, she offered to let me use it, so we swapped lens's for a bit. She was trying out my canon 70-200mm lens.
I did not have alot of time, but took some shots, and this I think was the best of them. She loves that lens, and I could tell it would take some wonderfully clear shots, but I was not used to it, and I hand held the lens. This was my favorite of the shots I took. I sure would like to be able to give that lens more of a try.

You done good Sandi..Macro lenses are best used with a tripod.The slightest bit movement knocks the focus off..I believe they do an IS version now...But it's big bucks..R.

That's one firecracker of a lily, Tigs. Funny how we become attached to a lens we find easier to work with and gives great results. I have a Canon f1.4 50mm lens and a Tamron 90mm lens that I use for closeups and I would use the Tamron almost every time over the Canon.

I love the way you write your narratives, Sandi. You make it sound like you were just an innocent observer enjoying the view when the lens jumped out of your hands and took this shot while you just stood there and gawked at the scene in shocked amazement. It's a beautiful image even though I'm not sure why your name is in the lower right.

P.S. I noticed that you misspelled Internet. Did I ever tell you why I hate the phrase "nice shot"? I was relatively new to Caedes and wrote a critique which I didn't spell check. The photographer didn't have much of a sense of humor and was sensitive about the critiques she received. Apparently she didn't think "nice shit" was much of a compliment to her posting. Now I always write my notes in Microsoft Word and use a spell checker before I say anything.
