After visiting the calendar gardens the other day I stopped at a nature area, and was lucky to find this beauty along the path. I had the sigma 17-70mm lens on the camera, and leaned in close for some shots.

The (eastern) black swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes), are also called the American swallowtail or parsnip swallowtail.
