I always see these fast movers on the move, for a change I spotted this one sitting still.

Used my canon 40D and canon 70-300 IS USM lens. This has been heavily cropped! Not picture perfect I know but I wanted to share it with you anyway.

I'm sitting here looking out at the snow, and waiting on spring, and for these cuties to return.

Thank you for commenting.

I don't think I have ever seen a hummer sitting still...not even at a feeder. This is a gorgeous shot, Sandi. I love the color on the wing.

Excellent catch Sandi. I can't get one to stay still long enough to get one snap off.
Love the colors and the composition.
Well done !

The only time they sit still for me is whenever I don't have my camera with me. A nice capture of this quick mover. A nice DOF in the photo and composition of the shot.

A really lovely shot Sandi! I love these little cuties too. Mine are so over-fed, I'm not sure how they can still fly!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
