This is a capture from a visit to a lovely area, that I visited for the first time this past year when the colors were starting to change. I will be going back here, it's a nice nature area, and not far from home.

So far all is good here at my mom's but my daughter informed that the power was off at my house, but thank goodness the power company had it back up in good time, so no damage to pipes.

The temperature this morning -37 with the wind chill so I'm relieved that the power company got the power back up! I commend the workers that have to be out in this stuff.

I hope this brings some color to your day, and thank you for commenting.

-37°with wind chill effect!! THat is -38°C - I have never experienced that in my whole life although I have travelled all over the world many times in all kinds of weather Sandi. Keep warm and pray that the cold front moves off. A nice warming image here does everybody good.

Gorgeous spot and I love the blue sky reflection in the water. OMG Sandi, stay indoors! We went from 58F (14.444 unusually warm) to 4F (15.56 down right miserable) in one day. Never before seen such a drop.

Beautiful capture and when you enlarge this photo it is even better with lovely light and shade and the blue from the sky reflecting in the water adds that extra lovely feel to this photo .

Wonderful lighting and colors, Tigz.
The wind is howling fierce here and brass monkeys are told to stay inside again.
Beautiful work.

What a contradiction Sandi, this wonderful and sunny image versus the severe weather conditions now in the mid and north east part of the USA. In the news of all (as far as I know) our TV-channels attention was paid to this situation. They showed for instance the almost empty highways near Chicago, a very rare phenomenon in the USA.

My compliments go out to the brave workers for being that helpful for people who are in need of any assistance.

Think I have to send over a part of our present weather (lol) with temperatures today of 15 degrees Celsius.

Take care, stay safe and warm!

Regards, Cornelius.
