My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
With this particular flower it is of utmost importance to get the right detail in focus. Success, dear SAS. Mine [growing on the lawn in our area] have been destroyed by strong wind last night - blown away ... SAM & SAAB
Sandi in your country they are called 'Bleeding Hearts'. In Germany these flowers are called 'Tränendes Herz' (Weeping Heart) and in my country (Holland) 'Gebroken Hart' (Broken Heart). I don't understand why they have chosen for a sad name for such a wonderful flower. Perhaps that the 'tears' (referring to the German name) are tears of joy, lol.
Therefore to me your F² image isn't a sad but a joyful one. I like it very much. Well done.

I love Bleeding Hearts and your photo has renewed my ambition to plant some where I can see them every day. In the meantime, this will look great on my monitor!
sandi, what a beautiful and fascinating flower this is. your widescreen treatment of them is bold and brimming with feeling too. im pulled into this image of nature showing off, which youve flavored with mystery & nostalgia through selective vignetting. its an interesting and very successful manipulation that kept me glued to the screen. thank you.
