Sandi - I can look out the window at the five inches of newly fallen snow, or this image on my computer. This scene is much more enjoyable and inviting. It is easy to see how this is one of your favorite places - and the turtle's as it suns itself on the rock.
A beautiful shot of a beautiful place, Sandi. I would spend a lot of time there with my camera....as long as there were plenty of benches there too. lol.
When warm weather arrives again, I am going to lay on a rock and sun myself just like that turtle, Tigz. I will need to be like Obama and pull my head out of my ... We got more snow yesterday as well. Beautiful scene, captured perfectly.
Agent SAS, Stop dreaming and back to shovelling the snow! LOL I will enjoy this summer view and will tell you later how nice it felt. Here we have just had two minutes of snow & rain blizzard, now sunny interval to be followed by temporary gloomy overcast sky. Regular April weather by all means. SAM & SAAB
Although our winter was very mild (again), I understand your narrative very well Sandi. Think it's for you the time now to change the white stuff for some lush green. This very fine image bring us all in the proper spring mood. Hope that we can see such scene in reality soon.

This is one amazing looking garden and feeled to the grim with thorny and stunning colourful bushes .I love the reflection in the water and the Lilly pads and flowers plus very nice effect you applied it gives of some lovely textures to this photo .Also your presentation is perfect and I dont know if it is real but the turtle on the rock adds a nice touch to this photo as well Sandy.
You're not the only one looking forward to seeing this again SAS...while we did not get as much snow as others or other years we did have the coldest temps on record for February...a most idyllic scene here and beautifully captured...one I shall fave and relish until the reality of it returns.
I agree with your sentiments completely Sandi - it was the coldest February in recorded weather history here in the Chicago area and the 3rd snowiest. This is 2 years in a row for us in the Midwest - enough is enough! This looks like a Japanese garden or at least it has some of the same elements - lovely an tranquil - a beautiful place to linger weather permitting! LOL
That's a beautiful setting. Much to observe and a nice place to relax. I really like the water lillies - it looks as though a turtle is soaking up some warmth on the rock. Well done Tigs - nice composition and clarity!!!:-):-):-)!!!
I am glad to see lily pads. I've been missing these for a year or so here. The backwaters along the Tennessee River at Decatur, Alabama used to have acres of giant ones. Now they are gone. I guess they found a way to get rid of them. Probably didn't want a gator to lurk there. This is a beauty of a scene Sandi. It's like a peaceful Zen garden.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
But then all you'll do is complain about the mosquitoes. :) Nice shadows and lighting in the photo, Sandi. A great capture of the lovely summertime garden.
