Another perspective of what I saw while driving through this area, about a week ago. I did not see many birds, but it was quiet, and I had the place to myself. This is about a half hour drive give or take - east of where I went to see the sand hill cranes.
I used the sigma 17-70 lens with my canon 40D.

It reminds me a lot of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge around here. I like the reflections of the clouds on the water here, Sandi. Another beautiful shot.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
We've had storms off and on since midnight Sandi - and they're still going - my little kitty hates thunderstorms and she is now in one of the bathrooms behind the shower curtain! This area looks so interesting and I'm guessing in summer there would be many of our native prairie plants - beautiful early spring shot.

This is a beautiful capture the water is lake mirrors collecting the colours from that lovey blue sky .Plus this is mothers natures art work with the shapes the land and water as curved out in the marsh land.Very nice plus lovely light and overall colours too.

Very nice wide shot of the marsh Tigs!!! You have to go back in a few weeks where you just might find some wildlife to photograph. Nice one!!!

This is a fine place for those birds. Maybe they need some advertisement. At least you had the place to yourself Sandi. Lovely view. Be careful and don't get stuck in the mud.

ths one is good Tigs, great perspective. i love the fact the sky has a beautiful aqua color & the water more of blue. i get tried of those dark deep blue skies that arent always neccessary for a good balance...you did good! cool having the place all to yourself, eh? becareful out there. walk small and carry that big stick!
