This is the home that Beth Defries and her husband lived in for many years before his death in the late 90's. She then moved, and donated the property to the Elkhart parks dept, and Jon Cuttrell started planning out the calendar gardens.

Yesterday I was trying out my Samsung galaxy 6 phone after changing some few settings in the camera options. I have the ability to go into custom settings, and change WB, ISO, and even options like comic, and some other in camera results that I don't remember right now, and an HDR option, also metering, and pano.

16 MP, 2988 x 5312 pixels, optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flash. I think this will make a great lightweight carry all second camera, and of course the phone itself.

I have always wanted a good quality phone, and I believe I now have it.

Thanks for commenting, and I hope your day is going to be as beautiful weather wise as it is going to be here.

That a great looking shot with the phone, Sandi. Excellent color and clarity. Can you snap and talk at the same time on that thing? LOL.

Lovely and sharp shot Sandi. Unbelievably good for a shot with the cell phone. It seems it has all what a good DSLR camera has. I think it must be truly worth the price.

That's a great looking shot from a phone Tigz. Do you suppose Nikon and Canon will be coming out with a phone?
Defries shot is delicious. Beth must be from France.

The end of the DSLR like roll film get that perfect shot then add a focus ring and you eureka no more heavy cameras and exspencive lenses .And for a phone it takes a stunning photo with faultless colours and detail and your compstion is perfect too. I like the light and shade in this photo as well Sandi can you blow the photo up and still retain the detail ?

Great shot but there's a tree in the way. Just kidding (about the tree), Sandi. This is impressive quality from the Samsung. Think I could sit a spell on that porch rocking chair.

Excellent specifications or this Samsung galaxy 6 phone/camera Sandi, but I think you've forgotten the most important thing: your eyes!!!!

The most sophisticated camera is helpless without the good eyes of the photographer who creates its images!

I know that you've sharp and keen eyes my friend! This shot is a proof for that!

That is a good quality photo Sandi. Very impressive. But like Cornelius said the camera is just a tool waiting for the eye of the photographer.

It looks a very nice home Sandi.
You and that phone did an excellent job. It is amazing what they can do these days. It appears to have everything a compact camera has.

i little more to the left to get the barn in the shot would have been superb. its still a wonderful shot of that old tree & farm house, that cell sure takes some really clear pics, i think the galaxy is a winner. you might never use the 40D again is my fear :(
