Last September I stayed in a cottage on Lake Michigan, and took this shot with the cell phone. I visited the area after Labor day, and it was the perfect time, great weather, and the crowds were gone.

I'm going back again this year, at the same time, and really looking forward to it. This time I will be on the beach again, and staying at a different cottage with level access, and closer to the lighthouse.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

Very fine results with the cell phone, Sandi. Some of the best photographers today are using the cell phones just as much as the heavy duty gear. I'm still using my cell phone to call people...go figure! I still wear a pager on my belt, but I haven't been paged for years now.

This is a very clear and sharp shot with the cell phone Sandi. Like Doug my cell phone is only for telephone calls. I have even switched off the WLAN on it.

Good capture with a cellphone. --"This time I will be on the beach again, and staying at a different cottage with level access, and closer to the lighthouse."-- Then we'll expect great lighthouse photos from you.

I too only use my cell for phone calls and your cell phone takes much better pictures than most I think Sandi. Really like your POV.

This could be scene on the east coast shoreline - perhaps an indicator of the huge scale of the Great Lakes.

A familiar view to me Sandi, the only difference is that it's taken a 'couple of miles' from me, lol.
Good result by your cell phone, my friend.

Super angle and really like the way you've gotten some of the sand dunes that has eroded or just blown away

Bring a bucket and small shovel with you next time and you can build some sand sculptures. A nice capture of the dune, Sandi. I guess I can't complain about the graininess of the photo. :)
