Very nice shot with good colors and clarity Sandi. The name of the flower is "crown imperial".

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

It is a wonder of nature. My thanks, Sandi, for bringing it to my eyes to behold. Very beautiful.

Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.

Crisp with brilliant color and detail, Sandi. Almost like selective color as seen in BW images. Not being a flower person, this makes it's way into my faves. "Fantastico!"

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Well, that's different. The greens are so bright and beautiful and the blooms like nothing I have ever seen before that I think it makes for a good desktop. KEEP-PAH!

Richie is correct in identifying the flower; it is in the lily family. Terrific composition, with the surround of greenery and varying focus of the same. This keeps the eye focused on the bloom. Excellent photography.

This is a very lovely composition. The off-center subject has perfect contrast and a you-are-there clarity that draws you in. On another level it's a beautiful and slightly whimsical study of shapes & colors. Or maybe it's just one little flower that could. And it may be common to you, but I've never seen anything like it. So thanks for the art and the lesson. If this wasn't taken with the 100mm macro, it's a situation that would be perfect for that lens. Really nice.
