One from my trip to Holland, Mi. I looked up at this lovely tree, and could not resist a shot. In answer to Dot's comment, I have no idea what kind of tree it is, but i sure liked those blooms.
You are supposed to tell us what kind of tree/bloom this is, Tigs. I know it's not a rose tree. Since you shot this in Holland, Mi., my guess is it is a tulip tree. Love the colors. Fine shot.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
The blossoms look very lovely against the blue sky. I like the way you composed this with the long branch and the green and blue behind. I am fairly sure it is a Japanese Flowering Cherry.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Sandi, Lyn and Kathy are right, these are the blossoms of a Prunus Serrulata aka Japanese cherry tree indeed. Such an image with wonderful blossoms against a heavenly sky makes me happy. Thanks for that, my friend!
