My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I almost had a collision with a hummer yesterday as I walked out the door - it was zipping somewhere. Excellent capture!

With so much "flapping" at high speed no wonder he/she needs a break. Very nice shot Sandi.

A wonderful portrait of a beautiful bird. The fancy eye covering looks like it's either giving a great big wink, or that it's being drama queen-level coy. My local birds don't have that feature, but do have a similar drab coloring among the females and juveniles. The adult males are noisy, colorful, belligerent little sob's who don't want to share the feeders with anyone. It may be a common trait though. One thing's always certain, and that's they're a blast to be around. Definitely one of my favorite critters.

Spectacular shot and hard to catch them sitting still for long.
