This is from my recent overnight stay at Exotic Feline Rescue Center (EFRC). They have lost some of the tigers I remembered from last year due to age, but have acquired more from different situations, some terrible and some due to natural disasters, like the fires, and flooding in Calif. They took on 15 more tigers from that place, and more were given homes elsewhere to other safe havens.

I used the Nikon D500 with the Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8 VR lens.

Thank you for your comments.

Cute big cat. Never seen in this position! It looks as though he had been rubbing his back on the ground and fell asleep. Good photo Sandi.

I think it is wonderful that there are places like the Exotic Feline Rescue Center (EFRC). Are they privately funded? Do they charge an entrance fee for visitors coming to the center? I wonder, since tigers are so solitary, how well they get along with the existing cats. Beautiful animal captured in so very well by you with this photo.

Someone wants a tummy rub Tigz. What a great shot and what great work they do for the animals.
It is wonderful that some folks step up and do what is needed.
This should be in the Photojournalism Gallery for both the photo and info.

It's doing a relaxed nap, probably having the feeling that it's in a safe rescue center now. Wonderful capture Sandi! I'm somewhat amazed not to see any fencing, 😁 !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Nothing beats a good nap except maybe a good photographer with good gear capturing the event.
