While I was at the Calendar garden the other day, this butterfly flew right in beside me. I took several shots, and this was the only one I thought was worth sharing, I had the 50mm lens on at the time.

I don't remember what kind this one is, sorry.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Gosh! that is a beautiful one, I found one today and I stood there I bet a half hour and couldn't get it to stay long enough for a shot. You were lucky to get this lovely one.

And you got that with a 50mm, Sandi. That's quite a feat. You have to get in the butterfly's personal space I bet. The 50mm gives you some good background blur and nice sharp detail on your subject.

That's a good lens Tigz. The butterfly would be pleased.
Some interesting shapes and patterns in the background.

It's a HB (Hanging Butterfly), Sandi, 😜 .
I'm just kidding, because I'm not a specialist when it comes to butterflies.
Very fine capture however!

The first ones can be happy because there is little competition. Nice shot of this Butterfly Sandi.

It appears to be a swallowtail Sandi looking at those blue spots along the bottom of the wing. Nice shot and certainly the earliest butterfly of 2020!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
