I believe that is what this hawk is, by looking on google. Spotted him or her in my yard, close to the feeders, but no birds were harmed.

I took this through the living room window, and a porch screen.

I do appreciate your coments, thank you!

I am no expert on birds but this is a great capture of that hawk, Sandi. It is a rare thing for me to see any on the ground.

A beautiful raptor that Sharp Shinned Hawk is - Their main prey are birds - he might have had his hawk eye on a bird - Great shot Tigs through the window!!!!!

---no birds were harmed---
Sandi, it's either a peaceful hawk or a devil in disguise observing whether your area is suitable for catching a prey.
In the first case, it would be unnatural, and in the second case, I hope he won't be successful.
Beautiful capture though!

He's floofing absent-mindedly, because that stare is focused on something. Nice.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
