This is how looks around my area now. This was taken at the back of the small housing addition I live in, I love walking back there, to enjoy the calming of the creek that flows back there.

I know some of you are wondering about the mods, and the how the site is running these days-This is my thought on the subject.

I noticed the current contest topic and maybe what is wrong with the site is all of us keep looking for something to be wrong instead of just enjoying each others images, nurture our friendships then WE can keep the site running smoothly. If there is something big, we can post on a thread & ask kindly for Geri to investigate or ask a mod for help.

Some of the mods are here, and even though we might not see any activity, that does not mean they are ignoring us, or don't care. Maybe what it does mean is the rules of the site are being followed, and there is no reason for a mod to step in. We the members keep it running by posting, and commenting. I have no complaint about that! Anyway that is my thought, and thanks for viewing and commenting.

.Note: I have not been posting as much, but I'm going to try to do better. I'm helping a friend who had heart surgery, so have been doing alot of running here and there to help her. But I still get my commenting done, and I get to enjoy your images.

This is a beautiful winter shot Sandi. Looks very familiar to me as it is snowing again today and is supposed to again Monday after bitter cold tomorrow. I read your comments with interest - something to think about.

A lovely snow scene Tigs - I can feel the peace and tranquility it conveys - here in NJ the weather is the worst I have seen in the month of February - one positive note though - we're supposed to see the sun on Wednesday - BTW: Great Capture and Take Care!!!

You are a wonderful caring person, Sandi. I think your thoughts on the matter are wonderful. I devote my time to caring for my wife. I care about the people here on Caedes and often take time to pray about them. I hope they are doing well these days. I love your winter shot. I am really glad that we hardly have these flurries.

Snowy here in Iowa also and very cold.

I agree with your thoughts on our Caedes. I feel bad that more people don't send in more of their work and that more people don't try different types of editing when there is so much out there to work with.

I really enjoy looking though all the photos each day. but I do notice the slow down on new entries. I don't have a solution for the slow down, maybe folks will take notice of your well written message though, let us hope. Thanks! Lovely snow scene by the way.

Well composed...
I have always had a limited time to visit Caedetos, I catch up when I can and post when I capture something that moves me, not out getting shots as often as I would like to, so I look at all of your's

This is a splendid winter wonderland shot, Sandi. Thanks a lot for that.

I've read your narrative with very much interest. I agree with you for more than 100%. Although I'm not a member of any other photo site, from time to time I take a look at them. Therefore my opinion is that Caedes isn't comparable. Caedes isn't dealing with superficiality like most other photo-sites do. Although the most Caedes-members don't know their Caedes-friends personally, we act as a close family. Not only the images/renders/illustrations or something like that (added with a narrative) aren't only helpful to that, but a the inter-action with the MOD's and the possibility of the phenomenon like the 'Discussion board' too. That makes, to my humble opinion, Caedes to an unique site.
So let's keep it that way. The only thing that is needed, is a little effort from everyone who has a warm heart for Caedes.
That's my heartfelt plea.

Sandi this is a wonderful capture, makes me wish I was there! Your comments are meaningful and I agree. I wish I had more time lately to view and post, but things are a bit hectic sometimes. CAEDES has given me so much, this is an exceptional site, with something for everyone. It is an incredibly positive experience.

What a wonderful scene Sandi - and a very thoughtful narrative.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
