Sandi, to me this flower in full glory is a Hibiscus rosa sinensis, commonly named Chinese hibiscus or Chinese rose. These kind of flowers are fragile and don't last that long. But on a shrub this plant provides us with a sufficient amount of flowers so that we can see an almost permanent festive sight. I'm not sure whether this is valid when this plant is bought in a flower shop. Anyhow, an excellent Foofy Friday (F²) contribution from you again.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
