Last week went with my friends for our yearly visit to celebrate a friend's birthday. Shot with the phone and edited in Snapseed. Thanks for your comments. tigs=^..^=
A beautiful capture, Sandi. Fortunately, during my previous career I only saw the light of lighthouses that stood along the coast, 😁 Lighthouses, as perfectly photographed by you, I saw up close only when passing harbor entrances. It was a sign that a journey had begun or ended. In any case, it always evoked some nostalgic feelings in me. When looking at your capture, this nostalgic feeling comes back to me to a limited extent. Thanks for that!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

I remember this lighthouse so well from my trips up to Traverse City with my late husband. We always spent the first night in Grand Haven - beautiful shot with good memories for me.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Placing the shadows of the catwalk down the middle of the photo creates a perfect balance of diagonals on each side, despite them being an entirely different subject matter, sort of like a bow tie seen at a rakish angle. That's a very nice twist, Sandi, and the slightly whitewashed character of the photo certainly adds to its location of the east shore of Lake Michigan. A definite fave for me.
