Sandi, a proper title for this capture. Because of the textures very worthwhile to be captured.
I'm not amazed that it didn't escape from your attention. So seen and captured very well!

Old and gnarled can be beautiful (more so on trees maybe) Such determination this tree has had to anchor itself so firmly

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Fine photo, makes a person wonder what's all underneath. Interesting capture.

A very cool capture from a good eye, Sandi. Hiking the Minnesota North Shore trails, Lake Itasca in north-central Minnesota, and on some trails in the deep western woods of Glacier National Park, I have also seen roots similar to this, but there must have been considerable erosion for the roots to be so high.
