The lenten rose also called Helleborus. Used the Nikon set up during my visit to the garden. Today I'm going to the Chicago Botanical garden to see the many orchids, and taking the Nikon. Thanks for your comments. tigs=^..^=

It looks almost velveteen, with a rich and deep color and golden in the center.

I'm so glad you're going back to the Botanic Garden - their orchid show is usually spectacular - I know I've posted a bunch of shots from there. Hellebores are one of my spring favorite and this is a real beauty!
