You are in my neck of the woods with this image :) . Canada here, 'eh?'
I will preface my comments with this. View the image full-size. It makes a big, big difference.
Clarity and detail is good. I really like the softness of the look you captured. The composition ... well, a little undecided on my part here. After viewing this, I had a thought that (IMHO) might enhance what is already a good shot. A little post-sweetening, if you will.
Crop the foreground water a bit. If the foreground area was equal to what you have captured of the sky ... I think the balance of your composition could be improved. In fact, I wasn't a big fan of 'letterbox' or borders before, but, I have since seen some really great examples of an appropriate application of those framing techniques on the site and I think that yours, here, is a good candidate.
The idea or suggestion is to bring a little more focus to your subject; the loon. Additionally, you could heighten the contrasts of colours already present in the palette of the image.
How appropriate that me, 'I am a Canadian,' get to post first :) .
