I was hiking a path and came across these lil guys in an area of weeds and dried leaves from fall. The topic came to mind. Hope you like it. I'm not sure if these are weeds or actual flowers. Enjoy!

It looks like black and white with color on the lavender. Nice effect. I do think they look like lavender.

Beautiful capture Tracey.
I love the way you have monochromed everything and added a nice overall coloring towards the edges with the exception of the flower -which looks like aclose variant of the 'Garden Grape-Hyacynth' which is common in the UK and Europe but I am not sure about the USA.

Calling something a weed really means it is just something growing where you don't want it to be. John is right that this is a grape hyacinth. They are garden flowers but do reseed and tend to sprout up where they may not be wanted. You have done a very nice job on this image by taking out most of the color and thereby emphasizing the purple of the blossoms. Good work!
