Lots better that an ordinary comet mate!....You cannot get a vision like this from Mr McNaught!.....glorious and gorgeous my friend!....Beautifully captured and a favourite on my screen top now!
What a great composition and colours on this capture, this view together with a view a Mcnaught would be more fantastic, but this is allready great! Great Capture!

Well, this is a satisfactory substitute for the comet. That lake is like a giant mirror - lovely reflections of the skys magnificent show. I like the rocky area, leading to the birds who are taking in the view. The sky has exquisite colours and pretty breaking clouds. Good desktop material Robert, and should do well in the voting booth :*))
May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your sorrows. May the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life. (An Apache Blessing)
Came here from the VB ... had no idea about the comet business. Don't sweat it Robert ... This will do just fine. My comment here reflects my opinion in the booth.
Yeah, I'd have forgotten all about why I went there if I saw an amazing sight such as this! The colors are really intense as if someone applied them with a brush. Beautiful.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

The colors and the reflections are pure eye candy Robert. Mother Nature has such a great sense of outdoor decorating, especially in pastels, doesn't she? The reflections are breakingly beautiful. Your capture of the comet satisfied me and now this has fulfilled me. Excellent piece of photography my friend. Right to the favorites. Thank you for sharing this with me ;=)

My goodness Robert!! This is just absolutely totally beautiful! Not only the colours, but the rock formations, the reflections...the water and sky colours...well, this is much better than any ol' comet. LOL...This is just breathtaking, it must have been fantastic to be there and feel the silence and see this time of day...wonderful shot my friend!! Verena
I'm 18 and don't travel much. But I tend to bring my camera around just to catch what sticks out from my everyday goings. (pardon me if I speak my mind)

What a great display of color and reflection. The seagulls bring this "unearthly" photograph back down to earth making the scene all the more beautiful to me. I wish I was there!
Surely I prefer the sunset - what a pleasure to my tired eyes after so many days without sun. Goes right to my desktop - I will use it for my eye therapy during winter time, lol. It wouldn't be so eye pleasing without this array of vivid colors.
What a beautiful sunset Robert, far better than a boring old comet;o) But I suppose we ought to thank it as you might have missed this otherwise. Well done and thanks for capturing it for us.
Cheers,
Steve.

Wow... it doesn't even look real. Like something from a painting. Nonetheless, one cannot deny the beauty in the shot. Might I ask where this was taken?
