Saw this in New Images. A favorite of mine came to mind ... "A New Day at Toronto Bay". Thought to myself "That's a Trisbert Photo". Had a moment of pride when I got here and found I was correct. Like so many talented members here ... there is a certain recognizable style to be seen throughout their work depending on the subject. I'm rambling here and probably not making much sense ... I'd best get on with this. Another wonderful image Robert ... not favored quite as much as "A New Day at Toronto Bay" but nevertheless an outstanding post.
Beautiful and very good capture Robert. Although the light comes from the backside of the Rebecca, the lighting at the front side is still very good. Well done!
Regards, Cornelius
the sky is 'interesting' like you say, but i find myself looking at the boat in the background more than anything. i dont know why. really great colors and composition.

Excellent composition Robert and superb detail on the boat. Slight bit of noise higher up, but love the golden glow in the lower part of the sky - very atmospheric!!! love it!

The trawler is looking good Robert, but it's that stunning sky that stays with me. It looks like a soft blanket passing above-was the storm coming or going? Lovely soft colours for sky coverage. A fine port scene :^>
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hi there!! As you know, I love clouds, and this photo of yours is really dramatic. I like it very much. You've got the perfect angle of the boat in comparison of the dock, the horizon and the sky....There's just nothing like water and sky photos. The touches of flaming orange are always pleasant to see. And it's always nice to see one of your photos. Thanx so much...Verena
A great composition. Gallery standard.
What technique you using? The dynamic range is great. But it appears to not be linear. Did you use HDR to compose the boat and the sky so well?
All your pics i've looked at are very high fidelity. Good equipment!? You mentioned 400mm lens for some of your shots, but what's the beast that's capturing all the images.
Well ... I gotz all giddy this morning. Why you ask? Allow me ... the method to my own personal commenting madness is as follows ...
I keep track of my fav artists by paying attention to my own profile page and replies received. Whoever is at the top of my page is on my visits to galleries for the day.
So ... your name is up. Ergo, my giddiness. As it is always a pleasure to view your work Robert. On my returns to your fine galleries ... I can pick any one of so many, this morning ... this one fits.
Not so much as it mirrors my mood, but close.
Question? Or two, if you don't mind ... any post sweetening performed on the boat itself? Use of the dodge tool perhaps? Doesn't look like the results of a fill flash to my eyes, could be wrong of course. Just curious.
Annnd ... wide angle lens used? No slight here intended whatsoever, just curious once again insofar as the horizon's line is concerned. Certainly works compositionally.
Allll that said ... beautiful shot Robert. Challenging lighting conditions ... well done. Well done indeed. :o)
Thanks for sharing your artistry with us. This viewer most certainly appreciates it.
