In three days of watching the Grebes feed the baby’s I never saw a squabble over food. Papa would come to the nest and offer the morsel to one chick or another and one would take it. The Chicks inexperience was apparent, as the fish would slip out of their beak, sometimes flying high in the air. Papa would patiently pick it up and offer it again until the chick succeeded to eat it.
