This shot was taken early this morning on the very interesting grounds of a Catholic missionary order, Society of the Divine Word(SVD) here in the Northbrook area where I live. The propery was for many years the largest privately owned land in Cook County. The old cemetery here is where many of my family members are buried. I hope to post other shots from this property which is known as Techny Illinois and even has it's own post office. All comments appreciated.

I am envious of your eye for capturing just the right image. The dark blue water looks cold. I like the little fringe of grass in the foreground. Wonderful blend of colors - especially that rainbow. Excellent composition.

I remember when I was a kid, I would hold the spray from the hose in a way that I could see the rainbow. I always love seeing the colors. Excellent image, Kathy. Beautiful colors and clarity.
