Taken on the island of Kauai - this very large valley is full of taro fields in various stages of growth. This is looking from the north of the island toward the center which has the highest point and about 500" of rain per year. As you can see from the clouds, it was sunny in the valley and rainy to the south. All comments and critiques appreciated.

I was counting on a nice flower shot, but this'll do in a pinch. This is an absolutely glorious view. The colors are stunning, and I adore the geometric shapes in the fields. I like the varying shades of green in the background caused by the clouds’ shadows. Excellent depth of field and wonderful balance. “Great shot”

All the varying shades of green are quite refreshing, and I love the patchwork of taro gardens which add much interest, along with the blue haze over the mountains! Breath-taking and so very well composed with excellent clarity, Kathy!
