Shot at the Chicago Botanic Garden. It was a cloudy hazy day with some 4:30 -5:00 pm light. Tweaked a bit in editing. All comments and critiques appreciated.
You have a lot of beautiful fall colors in this....and a lot of geese. I like the lighting in this also. The pano format suits this really well too. Very nice, Kathy.
I've only been commenting on one or two shots a day at the most as I busy myself by dealing with insurance companies and car salesmen. I try to look at all the shots and comment only if something catches my eye.
I find this posting to one of the most eye pleasing shots I've seen in weeks. First of all, I'm not a border sort of a guy, but your border has a symbiotic relationship with the colors of the trees. In this case 1+1=5±. You're getting very good with your artistic settings in editing. And I've always been fond of your landscapes. This shot has wonderful depth in addition to the great capture of the natural colors as well as excellent composition. If I had an AC nomination, this would get it. So I'll give you four gold stars (they're in the mail) and a fave.
Lovely colours in this panoramic view of the botanical gardens, Kathy. Nicely composed scene. Try some noise reduction software to smooth things out a bit, or add a layer and some blur, same difference. You could also try adding a new layer and work that sky over to reduce the brightness and then merge the two layers back together. Or you could be satisfied with the image the way it is.
I hate when I get white skies in my photos, here is the first time I really enjoy the white as part of the composition, a stunning beautiful photo-painting, Kathy!
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
