My pansies were finally affected by the cold the other night so I'm posting the last shot I have of them. We had sleet and snow showers for the first time Thursday so no doubt winter is knocking at the door. Bright yellow always seems so cheerful no matter what the weather. All comments and critiques appreciated.

You have become the Queen of the Borders, Kathy. You seem to pick the most complimentary color to set off your image.

Sorry to hear about the untimely death of your beloved pansies. Hard to believe that a little sleet and snow showers could wither these beauties, but maybe that's why they call them pansies.

Love the detail of your shot and the colors. They're not exactly subtle, are they? The good thing about pansies is that this spring you can look forward to buying some new ones to adorn your property which I have a feeling looks like a botanical garden.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

A beauty of a capture, and well presented, the bright yellow really reminds me of the sun. Kathy I was raking leaves, and burning leaves in that sleet! :) Tigs♥ =^..^=

All the foofies around here are gone, too. There's always next year, though. Beautiful color in this shot, Kathy. Very nice.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

Beautiful colours in your capture and some nice details. Have you considered running this through a noise filter to dampen the enthusiasm going on in the background. Some slight adjustment to the light level to bring out the details in the main flower petals.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
