This is a tighter shot of the church I posted last week - what particularly caught my eye was the sky. There was a cold front approaching that day and the skies were constantly changing with many ice clouds. I applied a slight touch of Orton to enhance the scene, at least that is my opinion. I await yours. All comments and critiques appreciated.

Nicely done, Kathy. I like the Ortons. I like what it does to light and texture. I see what you mean by the clouds. They seem to be pointing to the church.

Hi, Kathy....

At the postage stamp size, it didn't look like much, but the full sized image is a killer. I've faved this and nominated it to the AC. I just can't get over the excellent detail work on this as you can count every individual shingle. Maybe it's the Orton that put this one over the top for me. It seems to romanticize the subject. A true masterpiece.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
