This is the last of my autumn color shots for this year - thought it best to get it up before snow flies and turkey day is upon us. Taken in Door County Wisconsin but I can't remember which town. There are glorious maples up there as you see. All comments and critiques appreciated.

Bold and beautiful colors in this shot, Kathy. I never saw anything that red around here. Excellent capture.

The evergreen lingering in the front really helps the color stand out. A beautiful and superb shot Kathy!

Thank god, Kathy. I was sure from the title that this was going to be a flower shot. Imagine my relief when I found a landscape of Door County, one of my favorite places. I'm disappointed that those evergreen trees are green. Certainly there are some gang members in Door County that weren't spray painting walls and fences that could have added some color to the conifers.

I'm looking very closely at the leaves and am trying to figure out if you used an artistic setting because I cannot make out any sharpness in the leaves. I'm not saying that's good or bad. It's just different. I like the way Cindy said it by calling this a blast of color.

For a while I was a technical writer. Occasionally my boss would flex his ego and mark up my work. We used to call it bleeding all over the text because he loved using a red, soft felt tipped pen. This might be the most red I've seen since I switched careers.

A nice frame to compliment your photo, Kathy. A lovely collection of fall colours you found outside the Door. What's the view out the window look like? Add some birch in there for some yellow accents.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
