Yes, this is azalea just starting to bloom ...it has been a very mild winter. But these are starting to bloom on my coffee table. LOL To help remind us the outdoor ones will be blooming sooner rather than later. All comments and critiques appreciated.

Hi, Kathy...

I decided to work backwards and start my comments with the newest postings and work towards the ones that are ancient. You're first on my list. Between quitting Caedes for a month and my hiatus, I lost track of what was what with your camera. Did you get a new one or is the Panasonic back in working order?

Yep, this has been one weird winter. I always enjoy watching the Chicago Bears games on TV because the fans always look frozen and drink freely to stay warm. This football season it usually looked pretty nice. I know Soldier Field is historic, but that place was a wreck when I went to the Bears games 40 years ago.

I typically am not a fan of borders, but yours always compliment your shots perfectly. You have some very sharp detail on the leaves, but the focus on the blooms appears to be a little soft. I have never been able to take a successful shot of a red flower but you typically are spot on with your shots. It's better than anything I can do, but it's about an 8 on the Kathy scale of perfection.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I have a small basket of tiny roses that have been on my coffee table for 12 years. They bloom all year..with no water, too. LOL. This beautiful shot is giving me spring fever big time! Excellent shot, Kathy.

I expect that you intend to plant these outside eventually. I was relieved that you said they were on the table because I would have been anxious for my own to start producing buds and flowers. Very pretty, Kathy.

Oh sure Kathy, brag about your balmy southern winters. I'm afraid there might be a groundhog or two who would contradict your Spring Theory.

A lovely capture of these beautiful blooms. Wonderful colours and nice details in the photo. So what's your secret to getting these to bloom? The wood polish you use on the table?
