I never heard of a pocketbook plant before. How much change will each one of the blooms hold? LOL. I love the bright yellow, and the red speckles. Beautiful shot, Kathy.

Looks like Jimbob stole most of my one-liners already; so I'll actually critique the image.

Wonderful detail in the foreground and an excellent DoF. The clarity and colors are splendid. One criticism....I would have got rid of the flower in the upper right. It draws my wandering eye away from the beauty of the other flowers. Close but no cigar whatever that means.

A lovely bright explosion of yellow.
I know this as Calceolania or Slipper Flower and think I have an image of it somewhere in my gallery - I have never heard it called Pocketbook but I think it is a perfect name for it !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Can you identify the contents of your pocketbook? You better start canceling your credit cards just to be on the safe side. A great closeup on this beautiful bloom, Kathy. Good details, colours and DoF in the photo.

Kathy - Terrific capture of the Lady's Purse, Slipper Flower, or Calceolania. Well done! Thad
