I'm posting my Friday shot now as I am leaving for the St Louis area early tomorrow morning for my niece's medical school graduation. I hope to visit the butterfly house of the Missouri Botanical Gardens while there as it is near my hotel but this is, by necessity, a very quick trip. This is one of the many (150+) varities of viburnum but I liked the tube-like flowers and the wonderful fragance. All comments and critiques appreciated. (Canon G12, 1/800 sec, f/4.5, 30MM, ISO160)

A beauty of a shot, Kathy. Excellent job with the bright lighting and your subtle contrasting of light and dark. The dark background is another plus. Wonderful details.

I've been to the botanical gardens in St. Louis many times. They had a coffee tree, a lemon tree and a palm tree that were all dropping seeds. I planted the deeds and was the only person that I knew who had his own little trees. Watch out for coffee beans. They're a beautiful plant.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Kathy - The hints of pink on the white blooms make this a most interesting variety of viburnum. Thad

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
