Small DOF: emphasizes the subject while de-emphasizing the foreground and background. I was playing with apertures and stops in this shot to achieve the look of running through a field of flowers, in this case English daisies. There is an arc of sharp focus in the center of the shot and some decent bokeh in the background.I liked how it turned out so decided to enter it in the DOF contest. All comments and critiques appreciated.

A good variety of color in this one Kathy, I do find the white spot in the left front, is kind of distracting. Tigs♥ =^..^=

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I could never bring myself to run through a patch of daisies, unless I was being pursued by an angry pitchfork wielding mob. They look too pretty to be trampled on in an unseemly fashion. Rather they should be admired for their amazing colours and DoF. A great job, Kathy, best of luck in the contest.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
