This is an in-your-face color yellow but I got a kick out of these two roses clinging to each other - not the usual form for roses. All comments and critiques appreciated.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
That's an interesting shot, Kathy. Around here nobody plants roses because the deer love them. As usual, I can find no flaws to moan and bitch about. The border is fabulous and your use of available light has always been impressive. I guess it's those filters that you told me about that I'll never buy.
I think I just figured out why I don't care for flower photos. They're very few flowers around here. When I walk in the hills, the properties are usually 20 acres. When people have livestock or horses, they use barbed wire fences. Because this is basically a desert, few people have lawns or city style yards with flower gardens. My entire life I've had gardens of all sorts, but I wouldn't even think of it around here. The water is scarce, there are tons of freely roaming deer, ground squirrels, moles and gophers by the millions. I would have to spend at least $5K putting in a raised bed with chicken wire below to keep out the moles and gophers. Then I'd have to fence the entire area with an ugly chain link fence to keep out the deer. Hence and thus, there are few flowers to shoot except wild flowers in the spring. We have none of your botanical gardens and preserves. I have to drive down to a hotel in San Luis Obispo to see a decent group of flowers.
I guess I got off topic a bit. Nice shot. Thanks for sharing. :-)
