Believe it or not these are fall blooming crocus which I found at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I didn't know such a thing existed until I saw these and then did a little research. They put up their greenery in the spring but the blooms are in September and October. These had just had a morning shower and I'm sure they will be gone soon. All comments and critiques appreciated.

They are lovely - I always know it really is Autumn (Fall) when I see these. I have never seen such pinkish ones. Ours are more purpley with orange stamens.
Lovely photo and frame suits well.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Well you really know how to make a mess of things don't you. A lovely tangle of blooms, Kathy. Nice colours and details in the scene. I too was out of the loop on these fall beauties, but then again I often confuse grass with hay particularly how it grows on my front lawn. I really should get some sheep or a lawnmower to take care of the problem.
