This is another test from my new camera. I wanted to see it's capability with flowers since I shoot a lot of those! LOL I will probably continue mostly using my Canon for flowers but I thought this was very comparable to the same quality as the Canon. Honest feedback from you would be helpful as I have 30 days to return it if I'm not satisfied.

Okay, I missed something. What new camera? You know I prefer Canons, but this is comparable as you said. Such a pretty variegated variety of coreopsis.

The image is fine,Kathy, though you did leave a bit of Noise that only shows up in the greens (upper right)...and that little bit affects the overall sharpness. I'm being hyper critical because of your camera question.
I doubt you'll find any appreciable difference with the images from any of today's DSLR's, but without any specifics re resolution between the two it's impossible without testing equipment. dpReview.com can give you that for just about any camera.
One thing worth knowing is that there is no appreciable advantage in the resolution for figures above 15 megapixels.
