The blooming period of this prairie plant is in the spring with pretty yellow flowers. Those flowers form these pods which have 4-6 seeds in each and rattle when shaken. They say in strong breezes you can hear the rattling from afar if there is a large amount of these plants in the area. I believe I captured some type of bug on the right side, center.

I don't think its a bug...It looks like this part just died off. This is really a different type of plant and neat!!! Probably sounds like rattle snakes...lol...Excellent shot!!!

I think you should have led with news of the bug as a warning to your weak-hearted viewers. An interesting looking plant and nice capture Kathy. Good details in the photo.
