Since our weather retreated back to winter I'm posting a great winter blooming houseplant. The rainbow effect came from a shiny metallic surface to my left that reflected other colors into the shot. I was upset at first but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. {Clivia belongs to the lily family, the same family as amaryllis. Each colorful clivia flower is similar in shape to, but much smaller than, the larger trumpet-shaped amaryllis flower. Clivia flowers cluster together to form large conspicuous flower heads. Although artificial (because of the shiny metallic surface), it are wonderful subtle tones Kathy. Gives me the feeling that I'm dreaming. Please wait a moment so that I can pinch my arm..... I'm back and have hurt myself, lol!

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
I have many of these growing in the shady areas of my garden. They are a colourful hardy plant that thrives in up to full shade in my part of the world. This is a beautiful example

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.
A happy accident with the rainbow effect...I think it looks wonderful...adds an extra pastel to the already lovely pastels in the flower.
