These are very uncommon, in fact this is the only bush I know around me. I love to photograph these because they are so delicate - very small clusters with just beautiful leaves. I love to find the unusual or uncommon flower to shoot, along with all the usual of course! Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all who are celebrating. I will be having my mom for dinner tomorrow - on the menu is roast chicken with spring vegetables and angel food cake with fresh berry compote!

The pink lilacs are very unusual and beautiful - well shot and presented Kathy. Just a question - are pink lilacs an oxymoron lol.

hey i know this flower!..finally one posted i have seen before :) we have this color, white, and another light purple. its the dark purple we have a had time finding up northern way.

neighbor had one and just cut it down and ripped it out..GRRRR i wish he would have said something, i would've dug it up and planted over here. some people! i just dont understand em.

this is a great shot of these, they come and go so fast though. after a good rain? the smell fills the air in spring!

i have a white one that is very old, trunk or trunks.. i suppose ya call them? are a little bigger around then my legs

Lilacs are so lovely, and the one here in the yard is giving off it's wonderful fragrance. This is perfect for the day, and well done Kathy. Sounds like a wonderful meal too I might add.

So elegant and soft looking in colour - are these the 'Lucie Baltet' lilac's, I'm just guessing.

Well thanks, Kathy, now you've made me hungry, got any leftovers kicking around? A good close up on this lovely lilac.

As to lilac I like the oxymoron 'pink lilacs' too LOL
I have seen one bush here recently of similar colour.
Now as to eating - I have penalty for gaining 10 pounds and must get satisfied with apples and red beet roots + grapefruit ...
