This is low growing perennial herb. The plant is native to western North America from low to moderate elevations on grassland, open bush-land and forest. It was once used in native American medicine. It is the state flower of Montana and it is now being cultivated and hybridized for use in the garden. I photographed it in two different colors.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

These lovely flowers are new to me. The water drops add to their beauty.

It is very pretty. From the glimpse of the leaves it looks like a succulent ?
Beautifully composed and the water drops an added bonus.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Kathy, I like to agree with Richie's (brief) comment. Don't know why its namegiver has choosen for it's name. Could be that he/her has tried whether they were edible, ☺ .
