As I said in a previous post I've been taking shots of textured items as a challenge to my self. This is an antique brass planter, actually quite large, meant to hold my guess would be a potted palm. The design elements, particularly the flower, in the center are all Medevial in nature and fairly common in textiles and items from circa 1400. I'm guessing the planter dates to about 1900-1920.
