In the same area where I found the Ironweed wildflowers I posted the other day, I also found this wild mallow. Related to hollyhocks and Rose of Sharon this one was really a pretty one with all those ruffles.

That one's too pretty to be wild. Most Mallows I've seen are single petals and single color.

Hardly to believe that this wonderful flower is a wild one, Kathy.
The perfect way it was captured (in particular the excellent lighting) was the reason to create my somewhat 'unbelief' (please notice the quotation marks, ☺ ).
