This is my entry for the current contest. A lot of different textures here from this 30+ year old birch outside my terrace. This was the type of birch bark that native Americans used for canoes and wigwams. There is is also some lichen growing on this trunk which is the green you see. These trees can live to be 100 years+ and max out at about 60'. This one is about 50' now.
