A new bromeliad cultivar - the leaves are a mix of greens, purple and magenta. The flowers, which in this shot are just starting to bloom all in pinks and purples, are hidden in the center. None of the color in this was enhanced - it really is a very vivid plant.

I can see already that with all those color combinations this must be a vivid plant Kathy. Nice capture with good details.

Kathy, as far as a I know, a flowering bromeliad will die when its flowers are fading. The flowering stage lasts for a relatively long time however. In that time it has also caused offspring.
So time enough to both enjoy the colorful leaves and amazing flowers.

Good one (per usual)!
