This is known as a Martha Washington geranium here in the USA however in the UK it goes by the name Regal Geranium. They favor cooler weather which is why my mother never had much success with them in a Midwestern summer especially in July and August. They are sometimes referred to as pansy geranium which may explain my fondness for them. This was taken recently as a little morning sun was coming through.

Kathy, I can be wrong, but I think that a Martha Washington geranium in my country is called Pelargonium.
Regardless of the name, her beauty remains unchanged.

Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors.
They are beautiful with their leaves so crinkly. I had a dark burgundy one that didn't make it all the way through Summer. They are gorgeous if you can keep them thriving. Nice presentation.
